Genus Environmental is a leading provider of vegetation management services to Western Australia's electricity network.

We are currently seeking experienced Squirrel Operators to join our growing team delivering essential vegetation management services across metropolitan and regional WA.

About the Role

Working as part of an experienced field crew, you will be responsible for safely operating Squirrel and chainsaw saw equipment to manage vegetation around overhead powerlines while maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Squirrel mobile EWP safely and efficiently.
• Perform vegetation clearance around live electrical infrastructure.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and equipment checks.
• Work closely with crew members to complete scheduled works.
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions and environmental requirements.
• Identify hazards and actively contribute to a positive safety culture.
• Maintain equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
• Travel to various work sites throughout Perth and regional WA as required.

About You

You will ideally possess:

• Demonstrated experience operating Squirrel mobile EWP.
• Experience working around utility or electrical infrastructure.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Current White Card.
• Current Driver's Licence (HR Licence highly regarded).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
