We are currently seeking experienced Medical Receptionists to join our reputable medical clients in Melbourne, the world’s most livable city. The right candidates must be self-motivated with a desire to work hard, maintain a professional attitude and outstanding communication skills. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate maturity and empathy while dealing with sensitive situations while helping customers and clients alike. Genie or Best Practice software is desirable.
General administration duties
Being the welcoming and professional face of the practice
Dealing with telephone, email and face-to-face queries from clients
Handling sensitive situations with professionalism and maturity
Overseeing and maintaining confidential records for the business
Use of Genie or Best Practice software in your day to day activity
Patient billing – Health fund, Medicare, Worker's Compensation and DVA claims
Confirm and book patients appointments
Liaising with hospitals, Medicare, health funds and other healthcare providers
You will need:
Sound computer literacy & knowledge of Microsoft Office
Previous experience within a private hospital setting will be well regarded
Ensure the smooth running of the reception area
Exceptional phone manners and admin skills
Hospital or medical practice front desk/reception experience preferred
Very good attention to detail
Able to take direction where needed
Previous experience using Genie or Best Practice Software
