We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing water sector contractor delivering AMP8 projects across Cumbria.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex civil engineering or water infrastructure schemes and will take responsibility for projects from early contractor involvement and design through to construction, commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the successful delivery of multiple water sector projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Define project scope, identify technical requirements and develop robust, deliverable project plans from the ECI stage onwards.
• Oversee projects from design and early contractor involvement through construction, commissioning and final handover.
• Manage project costs, budgets and expenditure forecasts.
• Lead, manage and develop project teams and ensure resources are effectively allocated across projects.
• Manage contractual and commercial relationships, including NEC4 contracts, variations and change management.
• Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with relevant health, safety, environmental and UK water industry regulations.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as a key point of contact between clients, contractors, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders.
• Ensure completed installations and works meet the required specifications, quality standards and industry best practice.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and wider stakeholders.
About You:
• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the water, wastewater or civil engineering sector.
• Experience managing projects from ECI/design through to commissioning and handover.
• Strong background in reinforced concrete and complex civil engineering works, with shaft sinking experience highly desirable.
• Previous experience working within civil engineering environments
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, including NEC4.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and teams in a fast-paced delivery environment.
Package:
• £65,000 – £75,000 depending on experience.
• car allowance or company vehicle.
