General Foreman – Water / AMP8

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to support the delivery of a major scheme at a wastewater treatment works in Liverpool.
The successful candidate will have a strong civil engineering background and experience leading site teams across a range of disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
• Lead and manage multiple gangs and support the development of junior members of the site team.
• Deliver daily briefings, toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Ensure all operatives are working in accordance with approved RAMS and are using the correct PPE.
• Report and record near misses, accidents and any changes to site conditions.
• Work closely with the wider project delivery team to ensure effective coordination of works.
• Organise and monitor labour, plant, equipment and materials to ensure resources are available when required.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications and site instructions.
• Ensure works are completed to the required specification and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate site records and assist with timesheet submissions.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day site issues in a proactive manner.
About You:
• Previous experience as a General Foreman or similar supervisory role within civil engineering.
• Strong background across areas such as reinforced concrete, drainage, earthworks, general civils, water and highways.
• Experience working within the water sector would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• A confident communicator with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple gangs and work effectively as part of a wider project team.
Package:
• £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience.
• car allowance or company vehicle.
• Pension contributions up to 6%
• Annual profit share bonus following 12 months' service.
