Vehicle Technician
Location: Clevedon
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 Basic + Bonus Scheme
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm - No Saturdays
Our client is a well-established, privately owned independent garage in Clevedon with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality servicing, diagnostics, MOT preparation, and mechanical repairs. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their friendly and professional workshop team.

The Role
Working on a wide range of vehicle makes and models, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and routine vehicle maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Perform repairs including brakes, suspension, clutches, steering, exhausts, and engine work.
• Carry out MOT pre-inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing.
• Use modern diagnostic equipment to accurately identify faults.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop.

The Ideal Candidate

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within a dealership or independent garage.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Confident working independently and as part of a small team.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• MOT Tester licence desirable but not essential.
