SERVICE ENGINEER VACANCY
Our Client is an established engineering and service-focused company specialising in the Animal Feed and Biomass industries.
Due to continued growth, our Client is seeking experienced Service Engineers to support expanding operations and customer requirements.
Pay is £12.50 - £14 per hour
The Role
This is a varied and hands-on position involving field service, breakdowns, installations, and workshop-based work. The role is primarily Monday to Friday but will include occasional weekend work.
You will be required to travel to customer sites, typically within a 150-mile radius, with some overnight stays required.
Key Responsibilities:

• Attend customer premises for service, breakdown and installation work
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults
• Service, repair and install industrial machinery
• Assist with refurbishment and manufacturing tasks in the workshop
• Read and work from engineering drawings
• Use standard workshop tools and equipment
• Maintain strong communication with customers and the office
• Complete job paperwork accurately and promptly
• Work to high quality standards and comply with Health & Safety and Safe Contractor policies

Electrical knowledge is desirable but not essential.
The Person
We are looking for someone who:

• Has a solid engineering background (fitter-biased rather than fabrication)
• Is capable, organised, and flexible
• Is happy travelling and working on customer sites
• Has a proactive and professional attitude
• Holds a full UK Driving Licence
• Can work independently and as part of a team

Experience Required

• Good solid mechanical engineering experience is essential
• Experience in machinery service, maintenance or installation preferred
