DESIGN ENGINEER - PRESSURE VESSELS & HEAT EXCHANGERS

£35,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE)

Our Client is a specialist designer and manufacturer of high-quality process plant equipment, supplying industries including oil & gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, utilities, and nuclear sectors.
Due to continued growth, our Client is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their engineering team and contribute to the design and delivery of bespoke engineered-to-order equipment.
The Role
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing detailed technical designs and supporting the full project lifecycle from concept through to manufacture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed fabrication drawings, GA drawings and component lists using AutoCAD / Autodesk software
- Design pressure vessels and heat exchangers in accordance with relevant codes and standards
- Perform engineering calculations and technical analysis
- Liaise with clients to define technical requirements and specifications
- Prepare technical reports, documentation and project records
- Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure compliant, practical designs
- Support continuous improvement on new and repeat projects
- Manage workload to meet project deadlines
About You Essential: - Proven experience as a Design Engineer within pressure vessels and/or heat exchangers
- Knowledge of design codes such as PD5500, ASME BPVC, EN13445
- AutoCAD experience (3D modelling desirable)
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Self-motivated, flexible and solution focused
Experience: - Minimum 5 years Design Engineering experience
- Must have the right to work in the UK
