CAD / CAM Programmer - Sheet Metal
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per year (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 39 hours per week + overtime
We are a well-established precision engineering business specialising in high-quality sheet metal components and welded assemblies. We are looking for a CAD/CAM Programmer to join our small, friendly, and busy Production Office.
You will be responsible for producing accurate 3D component models and programming work for Punch, Laser, and Press-Brake machines, while also supporting customer enquiries and order processing.
Key Responsibilities

• Produce 3D component models from customer drawings using Radan / SpaceClaim
• CAD/CAM programming for Punch and Laser machines
• Integrate designs with Punch, Laser, and Press-Brake operations
• Assist with design and development of new and existing products
• Support production planning (training provided on Radan E2i)
• Liaise with customers, chase quotations, and help secure profitable orders
• Maintain accurate, methodical working practices at all times

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven CAD/CAM programming experience (Radan preferred)
• Experience programming Punch and Laser machines
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Experience with Radbend software is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and organised approach
• Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Working Hours

• Monday - Thursday: 7:15am - 4:00pm
• Friday: 7:15am - 1:15pm
