Due to continued growth, our client are seeking a qualified Building Surveyor to join our busy Somerset & Devon Professional Services team.
The successful candidate will be based primarily in our Taunton office, with flexibility to work across our regional offices and the option for some home working.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare specifications, costed schedules of works, and tender documentation.
- Undertake contract administration and project management on a variety of building projects.
- Carry out building condition surveys and prepare detailed reports.
- Provide defect diagnosis and technical advice on repair and maintenance solutions.
- Prepare dilapidation schedules, schedules of condition, and party wall awards.
- Manage client relationships and deliver work to a consistently high professional standard.
- Support business development activities and contribute to the continued growth of the department.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, professional standards, and company policies.
Essential Requirements - MRICS qualified Building Surveyor with a minimum of 3 years PQE.
- Proven experience in a similar role across residential and/or commercial property.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organised, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
