Our client is seeking an ambitious and motivated Development Surveyor to join their growing team.
This role would suit a newly qualified Surveyor or someone with 2-4 years' post-qualification experience (PQE). Ideally, you will already have experience in the development sector, though we also welcome applications from those trained in rural or commercial surveying who are looking to transition into this field.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the identification, appraisal, and delivery of development opportunities.
• Undertake development appraisals, feasibility assessments, and valuation work using tools such as Excel and Argus Developer.
• Liaise with landowners, developers, local authorities, and planning consultants to support projects from inception through to completion.
• Prepare high-quality reports, proposals, and advice for clients.
• Support senior surveyors with land transactions, option and promotion agreements, and planning matters.
• Manage and prioritise your own caseload effectively, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
• Contribute to business development and identify potential new opportunities or areas for growth.

Essential Skills & Attributes

• RICS qualified (newly qualified or with 2-4 years PQE).
• A strong understanding of planning, development, and legal principles, or the ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
• High standard of written English and numerical ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ideally Argus Developer.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial approach to identifying and developing opportunities.
• Full UK driving licence and daily access to a car (essential).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
