An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Rural Surveyor to join our clients busy Rural Professional Services team. Based across our network of offices in Devon, Somerset, and Dorset, this role offers excellent exposure to a wide range of rural professional and agency work.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Rural Professional team, providing high-quality support across a range of professional services.
- Prepare and assist with stewardship and grant scheme applications, compensation claims, and Landlord & Tenant matters.
- Support the preparation of valuation reports for probate, inheritance tax, and secured lending.
- Develop your skills as a Rural Agent, handling the sale and letting of agricultural land, farms, and rural property.
- Undertake site visits to clients' properties across the region, providing practical advice and guidance.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering excellent service both face-to-face and electronically.
- Assist in general administrative duties and contribute to business development activities.
- Opportunities to participate in our livestock market operations for those interested in agricultural sales and auctioneering.
Essential Skills & Qualifications - Rural Land Management or equivalent degree (minimum 2:1).
- Previous experience within a rural or agricultural environment (placement or post-graduation).
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Professional and client-focused, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Resilient, calm under pressure, and able to use initiative.
- Full UK driving licence and daily access to a car (essential).
