CNC Vertical Borer - Sheffield - 4 nights - £23.70 per hour
  We are looking for CNC vertical Borer for a permanent position based with our client in Sheffield. This is a permanent position working nights (4:30pm to 2:30am) or (06:00 16:00) Rate of pay is £23.70 per hour or £17.90 on days   Responsibilities and Duties

• Program, set, and operate CNC machines fitted with Heidenhain controllers.
• Produce precision components in line with detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Machine fabrications, castings, and forgings to tight tolerances and high standards.
• Carry out in-process inspections to ensure consistent accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and maintain workflow efficiency.

 
Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist/Programmer, ideally within precision or heavy engineering.
• Strong experience with Heidenhain/Siemens/Fagor control systems (essential).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Confident programming directly on the machine.
• Experience machining a variety of materials including fabrications, castings, and forgings.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently on the night shift.

WORKING HOURS:
Monday to Thursday 16:30 - 2:30am with overtime paid at time and a half
