Our well-established client is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Manager to lead one of their homes in Camden.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver and develop high-quality residential care in line with legislation, regulations, and organisational policies.
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and Safeguarding responsibilities.
Maintain accurate records for young people and employees, and oversee monitoring, auditing and evaluation systems.
Lead on the admission and discharge of young people, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of care.
Promote innovation and continuous improvement in care delivery, encouraging reflective practice and staff learning.
Prepare for, attend, and chair internal and external meetings, ensuring professional communication and documentation.
Participate in the on-call rota and provide sleep-in support when required.
Make informed, timely decisions to maintain the welfare of young people and operational efficiency.
Contribute to the organisation's wider strategic goals as part of the senior management team.
Leadership, Resource & Partnership Management
Lead, mentor, and supervise staff to maintain high standards of care and professionalism.
Recruit, induct, and retain a skilled and motivated team, ensuring all employment checks and training are completed.
Oversee staff development through regular supervision, appraisals, and continuous professional learning.
Manage staff rotas, monitor absences, and ensure effective coverage across the home.
Address disciplinary, grievance, and complaint matters in accordance with company policy.
Manage the home's budget responsibly, ensuring financial compliance and sustainability.
Oversee maintenance of the home's facilities and equipment to meet all health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Build and maintain positive partnerships with external agencies, social workers, local authorities, and commissioners.
Liaise confidently with Ofsted inspectors, demonstrating compliance and promoting best practice.
Essential Attributes & Skills
Passionate about delivering outstanding care and education for young people.
Minimum 2-3 years' experience managing a residential childcare team.
Strong knowledge of Children's Home Regulations, Ofsted standards and safeguarding legislation.
Ability to work with young people displaying challenging behaviours with emotional resilience and empathy.
Proven experience managing teams and driving staff performance.
Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) or willingness to work towards.
Full UK driving licence and access to suitable transport.
Flexible and reliable approach to meet the home's needs, including evening and weekend duties.
Benefits
Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 statutory holidays.
Performance Bonuses:
£3,000 for an Outstanding Ofsted rating.
£400 monthly Full Occupancy Bonus.
On-call payments: £25 (weekday) / £35 (weekend).
Working Pattern: 39 hours per week, including some sleep-in duties as per rota.
Office Days: Required occasionally for administrative or management duties.
Petrol Allowance: Reimbursed for business use (proof of business insurance required).
