Registered Manager - Camden
Our well-established client is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Manager to lead one of their homes in Camden.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership to ensure the highest standards of care and support are delivered.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
- Oversee and participate in the development, supervision and performance management of staff.
- Promote a positive, safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.
- Develop and maintain individual care plans focused on achieving the best outcomes for each resident.
- Work collaboratively with social workers, external agencies and families to support holistic care.
- Ensure robust safeguarding practices are embedded in all aspects of the home's operations.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in line with Ofsted standards.
- Lead on audits, inspections and service improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements - Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a management role within a children's residential setting.
- Proven experience supporting young people aged 11-17 displaying challenging behaviour.
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards).
- NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent).
- Strong leadership and staff management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
- In-depth knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Children's Act 1989, and Care Standards Act 2000.
- Thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection principles.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional night shifts as part of a self-managed rota.
Working Hours - Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Flexible working pattern, including evenings, weekends, and nights where required
- Registered Managers are responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing levels at all times
Rewards & Benefits - Base salary: £53,000
- Bonus potential: Up to £7,800 (performance and occupancy related)
- £3,000 for an Outstanding Ofsted rating
- £1,500 for a Good Ofsted rating
- £400 monthly Full Occupancy Bonus
- Company car or £3,000 travel allowance

- Government workplace pension scheme (eligible after probation)
- 32 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays), increasing by one day per year for the first three years
