About Us
Our Client is a trusted provider of rotating equipment repair and maintenance services, working across a diverse client base with a particular focus on the water industry. They hold long-term framework contracts with several major Water Authorities in the North of England and pride ourselves on our high standards of reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction.
They are looking for a skilled Waste Jetting Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and inspecting the network, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Routine Inspections & Jetting:
Conduct scheduled inspections, jetting, and maintenance across the Yorkshire Water CSO network, ensuring operational efficiency. - Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting:
Identify and address issues during inspections, producing comprehensive reports for follow-up work. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to maintain and repair mechanical screens within CSO chambers. - Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records. Ensure all activities comply with environmental legislation, safety procedures, and company policies. - Health & Safety:
Adhere to all company and client safety regulations. Work safely in confined spaces and outdoor environments while maintaining a proactive safety culture.
Requirements - Proven ability in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and execute maintenance task lists accurately.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physically capable of working in confined spaces and outdoor conditions.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
Travel Requirements Flexibility to travel to multiple sites within the Yorkshire Water region. Some work may be required outside of normal hours (including nights and weekends), which will be scheduled in advance.
Preferred Experience - Previous experience working in a similar role.
- Experience with jetting equipment or wastewater operations.
