Our client are a well established business and a leader in their field. Trading for over 40 years they are recognized  across the UK as a contractor that delivers a superior quality product and service.
Due to our continued success, growth and expansion of our fleet, we are now looking to recruit Level a 3 Qualified Mechanic to join our friendly team.
The successful applicant will be working directly under our Workshop Manager in our own workshop on our own fleet vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
Working on a mixture of vehicles, the successful applicant will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair:

• Vehicle inspections.
• Trailer Inspections.
• General servicing and pre-planned maintenance.
• Reactive maintenance as required.
• MOT preparation & presentation.
• Full vehicle overhauls / engine and gear box repairs.
• Tyre work.
• Fault finding and Diagnosis.
• Breakdown recovery.
• Working to DVSA standards.

Key Competencies:

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Be qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter is essential.
• LGV licence C + E essential
• Able to work as part of a small team or independently.
• Capability to report correct information to colleagues.

Work Hours:
Summer Hours - Monday to Friday 07:00 to 16:45
Winter Hours - Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45, Friday 08:00 to 15:45
No planned weekend working unless in the event of an emergency.
 
 
 
Pay: From £42,000.00 per year
