Our client is a well established and successful dealership, with multiple sites through the UK. They are going through a period of expansion and are looking to hire a Vehicle Technician to join their Scunthorpe site. As a company they are great to work for and really look after their staff.
 
You must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 in vehicle mechanics, have a positive ‘can do’ attitude as well as a willingness to work as part of an effective team.
 
Their Technicians are a fundamental part of our Service team and are responsible for accurately completing repair and service records, as well as any other appropriate activities.
 
You will gain a full understanding of our preparation process and have a proven ability to carry out electrical and mechanical repairs with a strong understanding in vehicle diagnostics.
 
Responsibility
 
Your duties will include

• Road testing vehicles during and after repair
• Using diagnostic equipment to diagnose a range of minor and complex faults.
• Reading and interpreting Customer Incident Forms,
• Wiring diagrams,
• Guided fault finding with technical support guidance and solutions when applicable.
• Stripping down and reconditioning, or replacement, of major units/components when required.
• Ensuring an excellent level of first-time fix by completing high quality repairs and thorough testing before return to the customer.

What they offer
 
They are offering a competitive basic salary (£32,000 upwards), negotiable for the right candidate,
40 hours Monday to Friday with 1 in 2 Saturdays paid as overtime at time and a half.
22 days holiday (rising with length of service) plus Bank Holidays and a number of other great staff benefits.
