About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to drive forward our ambitious growth plans and oversee the delivery of high-profile mainly outdoor events. With a track record of delivering exceptional productions and collaborations with brands, we're looking for an Event Production Manager who can elevate our production capabilities while maintaining our commitment to technical excellence.
This senior position requires someone who can independently manage multiple large-scale projects, develop client relationships, and lead technical teams while contributing to the company's strategic direction. The role combines hands-on production management with business development, particularly focusing on brand launches and festivals. We are looking for someone who is keen to embark on a rewarding career journey with us and take pride and ownership in their craft and who has experience working outdoor events / festivals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Operations:
- Develop and implement comprehensive production strategies aligned with the company business objectives and growth targets
- Lead and oversee multiple high-profile live events and outdoor productions simultaneously
- Create and manage production budgets, ensuring profitable delivery while maintaining quality standards
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, vendors, and industry partners
- Drive business development initiatives and identify new revenue opportunities
Team Management & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise production teams, including permanent staff and freelance professionals
- Establish and maintain operational procedures, quality standards, and best practices
- Coordinate and allocate resources effectively across multiple projects
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities
- Manage recruitment and training of production staff and freelancers
Technical & Production Excellence:
- Oversee technical production aspects including sound, lighting, and AV equipment deployment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining all necessary certifications
- Develop and implement risk management strategies for all productions
- Review and approve technical specifications and production plans
- Lead innovation in production techniques and technology adoption
Client & Project Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders
- Develop detailed production proposals and costings for major events
- Negotiate contracts and manage client expectations
- Ensure successful delivery of complex production requirements
- Lead project post-mortems and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Business & Financial Management:
- Generate and manage substantial revenue streams through production services
- Develop pricing strategies for services and equipment hire
- Control and optimise production costs while maintaining quality standards
- Contribute to annual business planning and budgeting processes
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements across operations
Marketing & Brand Development:
- Collaborate on strategic marketing initiatives to enhance the companies market position
- Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities
- Contribute to brand development and positioning strategies
- Maintain professional relationships with industry partners and stakeholders
- Support business development through thought leadership and industry expertise
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure all productions meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations
- Maintain and update safety protocols and risk assessments
- Oversee equipment maintenance programs and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
- Develop and implement quality control processes
