Jiggle are currently recruiting for a Disassembly Operative to work with one of our premium clients based in Dinnington on a part time basis.
Working hours and days are flexible to suit the successful candidate.

Job Description
The Disassembly Operative is responsible for the safe and efficient disassembly of aircraft interior components, including seats, panels, carpets, and other fixtures, as part of the aircraft recycling process. This role ensures that all materials are stripped down with care, following environmental, health, and safety regulations, and that recyclable materials are sorted appropriately for further processing or disposal.
- Disassembly of Aircraft Interiors:
- Safely and efficiently remove and disassemble aircraft interior components, such as seats, overhead bins, flooring, carpets, panels, and other materials.
- Use specialised tools and equipment for disassembly, ensuring minimal damage to reusable or recyclable parts.
- Inspect components for reusable parts, valuable materials, and hazardous substances.
- Material Sorting & Separation:
- Identify, sort, and categorise materials for recycling (e.g., metals, plastics, fabrics, composites, etc.).
- Separate hazardous materials, such as fire-resistant materials and batteries, according to safety guidelines.
- Maintain clear records of materials removed, sorted, and processed.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies throughout the disassembly process.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe working environment.
- Equipment Maintenance & Care:
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and other equipment used in the disassembly process.
- Report any malfunctions or safety issues with equipment to the supervisor for timely repair or replacement.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect aircraft interior parts for quality and condition, ensuring that reusable or recyclable materials meet the required standards for resale or processing.
- Report any non-conforming materials or issues encountered during the disassembly process.
