Quality Inspector
Rotherham
Join our team of experts as a Quality Inspector where you will be responsible for inspecting manufactured components and fabrications to customer and/or internally designed drawings / CAD models.
With your experience and understanding in quality engineering, you will play a vital role ensuring continuation of our excellent production of metal products and will successfully verify machined parts and fabricated assemblies.
In this key position, you’ll take an active role in ensuring we deliver outstanding quality products, first time, every time.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- To follow the Inspection Plan set by the Quality Manager
- Conduct effective inspections using the equipment available in a timely manner
- Create inspection reports, on all components and fabrications.
- Liaise with the Quality Engineers, where required
- Conduct monthly internal calibration of measurement equipment to the calibration schedule and maintain the calibration register and records
ABOUT YOU: - Previous quality / inspection experience in a metal engineering manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge using the following methods.
- Measuring arms (Faro or other)
- CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
- General handheld equipment (Vernier, Tape, Rule, Bevel Box etc.)
- Knowledge of problem-solving techniques
- A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas

WORKING HOURS:
5 days per week -0600-1400
