This is a fast‑paced, high‑influence leadership role where no two days look the same. You’ll steer the strategic direction of visitor engagement, lead a passionate team, activate commercial and industry development opportunities, and deliver standout marketing and visitor programs that drive year‑round visitation.
You’ll collaborate with the General Manager, Group Marketing Manager, Economic Development Manager and statewide partners to deliver bold, innovative initiatives that strengthen the resort’s profile and enhance the visitor journey from first click to final farewell.

Key responsibilities include:
- Lead integrated visitor programs — design and deliver high‑impact visitor services and marketing initiatives that boost awareness, demand and engagement.
- Activate commercial and industry opportunities — unlock partnerships and initiatives that strengthen economic resilience.
- Oversee visitor operations — ensure seamless, customer‑focused delivery of resort entry, visitor information and frontline services.
- Deliver resort‑specific campaigns — drive seasonal and year‑round campaigns that amplify Falls Creek’s unique alpine identity.
- Drive cross‑team collaboration — work across ARV teams, government agencies and industry bodies to deliver shared outcomes.
- Manage event budgets and sponsorships — ensure financial accountability and strategic alignment.
- Provide strategic advice — deliver insights, reports and recommendations to the General Manager.
- Champion leadership and culture — empower staff, build capability and foster innovation.
Skills, experience and qualifications - Degree in marketing, tourism or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in destination tourism or marketing, including team leadership
- Experience writing grant funding applications
- Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement and commercial acumen
- Proven project management capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current Working with Children Check and driver’s licence
- Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded

Salary Range $134,585–$157,355 + superannuation

Who will you be working for? Alpine Resorts Victoria (ARV) manages Victoria’s six alpine resorts—Falls Creek, Mt Buller, Mt Hotham, Mt Baw Baw, Mt Stirling and Lake Mountain. Together they attract over one million visitors annually and support approximately ten thousand jobs.
