Expression of Interest - Volunteer Ski Patrol
 
As a Volunteer Ski Patroller, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the safe operation of the mountain—providing frontline emergency response, first aid, and proactive risk management to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

We welcome applications from experienced volunteers and first-time patrollers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Respond to on‑mountain incidents and provide first aid
• Patrol ski areas to identify and manage hazards
• Assist with trail safety, closures and risk mitigation
• Support search and rescue and broader emergency response activities
• Work collaboratively with medical services and resort operations teams

Skills, experience & qualifications: 

• Current ASPA certification or Wilderness First Aid qualification (Trainees are exempt)
• Minimum two (2) years ski patrol experience for independent patrollers (unless appointed as a Trainee
  Patroller under supervision).
• Strong skiing or snowboarding ability
• Calm, safety‑focused and able to work in high‑pressure environments

The successful candidate will be required to: 

• Hold a current Australian driver’s licence
• Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (VIT)
• Available to work weekends and school holidays
