The opportunity:
The Visitor Experience Officer - Compliance supports resort compliance activities to ensure safe, orderly, and lawful use of resort areas in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and ARV policies.
In this role, you will be responsible for issuing reminders, warnings and infringements to vehicles in line with the Road Safety Act 1986 and the Alpine Resorts (Management) Regulations 2020 and keeping our roads and car-parks safe and accessible.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor compliance with resort entry, parking, traffic and vehicle requirements, and take enforcement action as required in line with legislation and ARV policies.
- Delivers compliance and operational services within an established regulatory framework, applying legislation, policies, and procedures consistently.
- Issue reminders, warnings, or infringement notices in line with the Road Safety Act 1986, Alpine Resorts (Management) Regulations 2020, and ARV procedures.
- Provide clear and accurate information to visitors regarding compliance requirements, permits, and resort regulations.
- Undertake Authorised Officer duties as prescribed under relevant legislation when required (qualification dependent).
- Support visitor services and on-mountain operational activities during peak visitation or operational periods.
- Accurately complete compliance documentation, records, and reports.
- Work collaboratively across Visitor Experience, Resort Operations, and other teams to achieve shared outcomes.
Key Selection Criteria: - Demonstrated experience in customer service, tourism, hospitality, or a related visitor‑facing role (minimum two years).
- Authorised Officer Certification (Desirable).
- Experience in compliance, enforcement, parking, traffic management, or resort operations. (Desirable)
- Demonstrated experience providing friendly, accurate information to visitors regarding resort entry permits, parking requirements and general resort rules, in line with established procedures.
- Experience working outdoors in variable and sometimes adverse weather conditions, including prolonged standing or walking (alpine or similar environments preferred).
- Ability to confidently apply policies, procedures and instructions when identifying non‑compliance and determining appropriate responses, including issuing reminders, warnings or infringements, under
guidance. - Demonstrated clear, polite verbal communication skills and completed written records accurately using standard templates and systems.

Salary: Commencing from $30.51 per hour, plus casual loading + superannuation

The successful candidate will be required to: - Have full Australian working rights.
- Hold a current unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence
- Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Employee Working With Children Check
- Available to work weekends and school holidays
- Available from June 2026 to 30 September 2026 (or the declared snow season)
