The opportunity:
The Resort Operations Officer - Car Parking supports the delivery of safe, efficient, and compliant car‑parking and traffic management operations across the resort. The role is responsible for coordinating parking activities, managing
vehicle and pedestrian flow, and supporting access control during peak visitation periods and adverse weather conditions, ensuring operations are conducted in line with ARVʼs safety, operational, and visitor experience
standards.
- Coordinate day‑to‑day car‑parking and traffic management operations across the resort in line with operational plans and procedures.
- Manage traffic flow, vehicle access, and parking allocation during peak periods, emergency situations, and adverse weather conditions.
- Identify and respond to congestion, safety risks, or access issues, escalating complex matters to supervisors as required.
- Support bus stop operations and pedestrian movement to ensure safe visitor flow.
- Oversee and support chain‑fitting bay operations, ensuring safe traffic movement and visitor compliance.
- Provide accurate information and guidance to visitors regarding parking, access requirements, and resort conditions.
- Monitor compliance with parking rules, access requirements, and operational procedures within scope of authority.
- Complete operational reports, logs, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with Visitor Experience, Ski Patrol, and Resort Operations teams to support integrated resort operations.
This is an on-site seasonal role at Mount Buller Alpine Resort where you will get to enjoy spectacular views and the unique alpine environment every day, including the challenges this brings.

Key Selection Criteria: - Be able to work in a highly physical role in extreme weather conditions.
- Experience driving in hazardous weather and road conditions.
- Traffic Management or Control accreditation (desirable).
- Customer service experience
- Demonstrated experience working in traffic, parking or crowd management environments.
- Work well independently and in a team
- High attention to safety of self and others
The successful candidate will be required to: - Have full Australian working rights.
- Currently hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check – Employee type
- Have a current, unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests.
Location: Mount Buller Alpine Resort, Victoria
Salary: Commencing from
$30.51 per hour, plus casual loading + superannuation
Contract Term: Casual, seasonal.
