The opportunity:
Falls Creek Alpine Resort is looking for a highly organised and self-motivated, Project Officer to oversee the end-to-end delivery of capital works projects, from scoping and design through procurement, construction and completion. Responsible for the delivery of a diverse range of infrastructure projects including buildings, roads, trails, car parks and water and sewage treatment systems, this role works closely with internal teams, stakeholders and contractors.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of capital works projects, including planning, design development, procurement, construction, and close-out, ensuring alignment with ARV’s strategic and operational objectives.
- Prepare and manage comprehensive project documentation such as project briefs, programs, risk registers, cost estimates, specifications, tender documents, and evaluation reports.
- Monitor and report on project progress, timelines, and milestones, ensuring delivery within approved scope, budget, and timeframes.
- Manage contracts and relationships with contractors and suppliers, including overseeing quality assurance, processing payment claims, resolving issues, and managing variations.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, service providers, and other alpine resorts to support collaborative project delivery and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to project delivery processes, systems, and practices.

Support the daily operations and functionality of Falls Creek Alpine Resort, and Alpine Resorts Victoria’s (ARV) strategic objectives for sustainable development and operational excellence.
Key Selection Criteria - Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with demonstrated experience in managing capital works projects across the full lifecycle, including design, procurement, delivery, and reporting.
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
- Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline; relevant qualifications and/or experience in capital works project delivery. (Desirable).
- Demonstrated ability to manage capital works projects across the full lifecycle, ensuring outcomes are achieved within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Skilled in analysing complex project challenges, evaluating options, and implementing effective solutions that support operational and strategic goals.
- Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders to support project delivery and compliance.
- Sound understanding of financial and contractual principles relevant to capital works, including procurement, cost tracking, and value-for-money delivery.
- Proficient in using digital tools and systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management platforms) to support efficient documentation, reporting, and communication.
The successful candidate will be required to: - Have full Australian working rights.
- Currently hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check – Employee type
- Have an Australian drivers licence.
- Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests.
Location: Falls Creek Alpine Resort, Victoria
Salary Range: $89,929.73 - $96,073.25 + superannuation
Contract Term: 12 months full-time, with the potential to go permanent.
