The opportunity:
The Resort Operations Supervisor plays a key role in delivering infrastructure and operational services at Falls Creek Alpine Resort. Leading a small team, the Supervisor oversees the execution of recurrent works and minor capital projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment across the resort. The role is responsible for coordinating daily workflows, supervising staff, and supporting the development of procedures.
- Support seasonal programs across both summer and winter operations, including event logistics, trail maintenance, snow clearing, public spaces and resort asset register management.
- Deliver all operational activities with a focus on safety, efficiency and managing competing priorities.
- Promote and provide a positive and safe guest experience.
- Contribute to ARV's strategic goals of sustainable development and long-term asset resilience.
- Lead the team with clear communication, support and a focus on employee development.
This is an on-site role at Falls Creek Resort where you will get to enjoy spectacular views and the unique alpine environment every day, including the challenges this brings.
Become part of a team that supports the daily operations and functionality of Falls Creek Alpine Resort through building maintenance and repairs, asset management activities, and seasonal operation activities.
Key Selection Criteria - Minimum 3 years’ experience in operations, civil construction, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in plant operation and maintenance.
- Experience in mountain bike trail construction and works planning (desirable).
- Current Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- White Card (Work Safely in Construction Industry).
- Current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
- Medium Rigid truck licence.
- Valid Front End Loader (FEL) and Backhoe tickets.
- Excavator and Traffic Management Control tickets (desirable) .
- Familiarity with asset management software and emergency management protocols (desirable)
- Applies sound judgement to resolve operational issues and
improve service delivery. - Plans and oversees recurrent and capital works to meet seasonal objectives.
- Uses asset management systems and Microsoft Office tools to
manage data and reporting. - Understands budget constraints and resource allocation in
operational environments. - Delivers high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintains composure and leads effectively in dynamic and seasonal environments.
- Adjusts plans and priorities in response to changing resort needs
The successful candidate will be required to: - Have full Australian working rights.
- Currently hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check – Employee type
- Have an Australian drivers licence.
- Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests.
Location: Falls Creek Alpine Resort, Victoria
Salary Range: $89,292 - $96,073 + superannuation
Contract Term: 12 months full-time, with the potential to go permanent.
