The Opportunity
We’re looking for a values led and people‑focused leader to proactively deliver high‑quality, inclusive and memorable visitor experiences across the resort. If you thrive in dynamic frontline environments and love coaching teams to shine, this role is for you.
Reporting to the Head of Visitor Experience, the Visitor Experience Supervisor leads day‑to‑day frontline service operations and contributes to the implementation of ARV’s strategic visitor experience objectives. You’ll be the calm, capable escalation point for our Visitor Experience team and a champion for service excellence, safety and collaboration.
The ability to read and interpret relevant legislation and regulations is highly desirable, supporting the role’s compliance and visitor‑safety responsibilities.
Other key strengths include conflict resolution, coaching seasonal staff, and strong project‑management capability.
This position is a parental leave cover for up to 14 months.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating resort entry, visitor information, school and group bookings, and compliance functions
- Supervising and coaching seasonal staff to deliver consistent, welcoming and world-class service
- Managing daily operations and acting as the escalation point for complex guest queries
- Supporting the rollout of ARV initiatives that enhance the visitor journey end‑to‑end
- Partnering with cross‑functional teams to streamline processes and improve outcomes
Qualifications and Experience: - Qualification in Business, Tourism, Events or Marketing, or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Minimum 3 years in an administration role, including management of digital business systems.
- Demonstrated team leadership and management skills.
- Prior experience working in an Alpine resort (desirable).
The successful candidate will be required to have: - Full Australian working rights.
- Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests.
- Valid driver’s licence (Victorian preferred)
- Victorian Working with Children Check - Employee
- Work weekend during the ‘White Season’ & for events
Location: Mt Hotham Alpine Resort, Victoria
Salary: $89,291.00 - $96,073.00 p/a plus superannuation (rate determined by skills, qualifications, and experience)
Start Date: March 2026
Contract Term: Parental leave cover for up to 14 months (fixed‑term)
