The opportunity:
Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort is hosting one of Victoria’s premier downhill mountain bike events in February, and we're on the lookout for enthusiastic Front of House staff to join our team and help make the weekend a memorable success! If you’ve got experience in customer service and understand the importance of creating a welcoming and safe environment, and enjoy working as part of a team, then read on to see if your skills and experience match what we’re after!
Staff accommodation in the resort will be available for the weekend.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting guests, answering enquiries, and providing accurate information about resort amenities and event details.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming front of house area, including regularly tidying guest spaces, wiping down counters, and ensuring signage and displays are presentable.
- Process orders and payments efficiently using the point of sale system, adhering to cash handling protocols and ensuring guests receive prompt attention.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to coordinate service, relay guest requests, and maintain a smooth workflow throughout busy periods.
- Monitor and manage guest flow, assist with seating arrangements, and address any concerns or issues in a professional manner to enhance the overall guest experience.
What amazing skills and experience will score you this role?
- Victorian Safe Food Handling Certificate.
- Victorian RSA.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment, with strong barista skills.
- Available from Thursday February 12th to Sunday February 15th 2026
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Have full Australian working rights.
- Currently hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check – Employee type.
- Have an Australian drivers licence (Victorian licence preferred).
- Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests.

Salary Range: $33.65 - $36.95 including casual loading.
