The opportunity:
As the Resort Operations Officer - Snow Operations, you'll be the key player in ensuring our winter wonderland runs smoothly!
Your days will be packed with exciting duties like Snow Clearing, Cross Country Trail Grooming, and Village Road Maintenance. You'll help keep the magic alive by managing public area snow and ensuring safety throughout the snow season.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure that all items of plant and equipment are operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and Falls Creek’s internal maintenance systems.
- Ensure compliance with all OH&S regulations in relation to fatigue management and plant operation.
- Undertake snow clearing works to ensure that the Bogong High Plains Road, overnight and day carparks are maintained to the required standards both during and following storm events.
- Manage public areas to ensure that snow and ice are treated and cleared to reduce public safety risks.
- Undertake Cross Country Trail Grooming to world class standards including event set up and reporting of trail conditions.
Skills, experience and qualifications: - Medium rigid truck licence
- Front End Loader ticket
- Extensive knowledge of operating and maintaining plant equipment
- Ability to work in a remote, often harsh alpine environment.
- Ability to undertake manual labour
- Ability to organise and plan workloads under general supervision.

The successful candidate will be required to: - Have full Australian working rights.
- Hold a current Australian driver’s licence
- Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests

- Available to work weekends and school holidays
- Available from June to 30 September 2025 (or the declared snow season)
