The opportunity:
The Asset Accountant plays a vital role in keeping our organisation's fixed asset records accurate and reliable. You'll be the expert in managing the acquisition, depreciation, and disposal of assets, all while ensuring we adhere to accounting policies and procedures.
You'll collaborate with various departments to make sure every asset-related transaction is perfectly captured across our financial and assessment management systems.
With a strong eye for detail, accuracy and a passion for continuous improvement, this is an opportunity for you to bring your already sound knowledge to the role and be a part of the Alpine Resorts Victoria.
We have offices at our six resorts and corporate locations in Mansfield, Lilydale, and are open to discussions of remote work options for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate and compliant accounting records in relation to Fixed Assets and Capital Works
- Support the development of the annual capital budget
- Support resort Asset Management teams and General Managers to understand their monthly financial reports in relation to capital projects
Skills, experience and qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on fixed asset management.
- Accounting experience in a Victorian public sector context is an advantage.
- Understanding of the Victorian State Government Financial Reporting Directions, Standing Directions and Asset Management Accountability Framework advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
