We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals who have a wealth of customer service experience, to join our team as the Visitor Services Officer - Toboggan Runs. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that every visitor has a safe and enjoyable experience on our toboggan runs.
You will work closely with the Visitor Experience Supervisor and other team members to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain the smooth operation of the toboggan runs.
Lake Mountain Alpine Resort is a family-orientated snow play park. It has the distinction of being the closest alpine snow resort to Melbourne, just a short 2 hours' drive from the city centre.

Key accountabilities:
- Assist the Visitor Experience Supervisor in delivering an exceptional experience on the toboggan runs for all visitors and employees.
- Provide guidance to visitor service attendants in the morning set up, daily operation, and afternoon pack down of the toboggan runs.
- Act as the first point of contact for all matters on the toboggan run, escalating issues to management when required.
- Ensure all key positions on the toboggan run are filled with allocated staff, helping to rotate for break times throughout the shift.
- Be positioned in other Visitor Experience roles when not allocated to a toboggan run, i.e assisting in servicing clientele throughout the rental department, retail shop, information window, or meet and greet areas.
- Work in various weather conditions, including snow/rain, icy winds, and cold temperatures, demonstrating the ability and initiative to prepare for and withstand these conditions alongside co-workers.
What amazing skills and experience will score you this role? - Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service, tourism or visitor information
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
- Use sound judgement to address and solve problems that arise in work.
- Computer literacy with knowledge of programs including Word, Excel and general knowledge of apps/databases
- Medium rigid licence – Desirable
The successful candidate will be required to: - Have full Australian working rights.
- Hold a current Australian driver’s licence
- Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check - Employee
- Available to work weekends and school holidays
- Available from end of May to September 2025 (or the declared snow season)

Salary: $35.95 p/h including casual loading
