We are seeking a dependable, caring and proactive person to provide practical, person-centered support within a family home. You will help create calm, positive routines while encouraging independence, confidence and skill development.
  
He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga | About the role
Every second month, you will support our teenage son with his before- and after-school routines. This hands-on role includes personal care, household support and engaging activities tailored to his interests and goals, including:
  
· Supporting showering, dressing, eating and preparation for school
· Meeting school transport at the letterbox and facilitating interesting and appropriate after-school activities
· Completing light household tasks that help the family’s day run smoothly
· Encouraging independence, confidence and the development of everyday skills
· Bringing a calm, positive and reassuring presence to a busy household
  
Mōhou Ake | About You
You will enjoy working closely with a family, feel comfortable taking initiative and be able to confidently undertake a range of day-to-day tasks.
  
We would love to hear from you if you are:

• Experienced or confident in supporting children and/or disabled people
• Reliable, trustworthy and committed to maintaining confidentiality
• Patient and kind, with clear and respectful communication skills
• Comfortable providing personal care and practical household support
• Able to complete Police vetting requirements
• Committed to culturally safe, respectful support for people from all backgrounds
• Willing to learn, reflect, and adapt your approach to what matters to each person
• Own a smartphone
• Hold a Full/restricted driver’s license
