Tucked beneath Brisbane’s iconic Story Bridge, Yoko Dining brings a bold shot of pop-infused Tokyo dining to the vibrant riverside community of Howard Smith Wharves. Inspired by the daring spirit of Yoko Ono and the buzzing laneways of Harajuku, our restaurant pulses with energy, rhythm, and flair—from our sizzling Hibachi grill to our vinyl-laced private bar, B-Side.

We’re on the lookout for experienced cooks who are passionate about craft and crave the pace of a kitchen that never stands still.

About the Role

As a key player in our kitchen team, you’ll report to our Head Chef and help drive Yoko’s reputation as one of Brisbane’s most exciting dining experiences. We’ve been delivering upbeat, flavour-packed Japanese classics for over five years—and we’re only just getting started. This role is made for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and isn’t afraid to experiment, innovate, and surprise.


What You’ll Bring

• A genuine love for great food, quality ingredients, and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Sharp attention to detail and consistency, plate after plate.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a cook/chef in a high-volume kitchen.
• A strong base in Japanese or Asian cuisine is highly desirable.
• Team-first mentality—organised, reliable, and eager to grow.
