Do you thrive on complex programmes, big-picture thinking and making things happen? We're seeking a Programme Manager to lead the coordination of our integrated forward infrastructure programme, managing sequencing, dependencies, risks, and delivery readiness across multiple high-profile projects. This is your chance to shape a new organisation, influence strategic investment, and deliver real impact.
Ō mahi | What you'll do
- Lead strategic, high-impact projects that directly shape Waikato's water and wastewater network.
- Align priorities, manage trade-offs, and provide clear insights to senior leaders and governance forums.
- Drive programme controls, risk management, and assurance across the portfolio.
- Ensure lifecycle hand-offs and operational readiness for all infrastructure projects.
- Lead continuous improvement of programme management practices and tools.
Ō pūkenga | What you'll bring - Proven experience in coordinating complex infrastructure programmes with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong capability in risk, issue, and governance management across concurrent projects.
- Ability to provide clear advice and reporting to senior leaders.
- Knowledge of NZ infrastructure delivery environments - utilities, local government, or regulated sectors.
- Desirable: Formal project/programme management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, or equivalent).
