Te tūranga | The role
Are you a skilled project manager with a proven track record delivering high impact infrastructure projects? Do you thrive on leading complex projects from initiation to handover while ensuring safety, quality, and operational readiness?
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Infrastructure team. Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, this key role is responsible for end-to-end delivery of assigned capital projects, ensuring outcomes meet agreed safety, scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk requirements.
Ō mahi | What you'll do
- Lead day-to-day project execution, coordinating contractors, consultants, and internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
- Manage procurement activities, including tender documentation, evaluation, and governance approvals, supported by Finance and Performance & Reporting.
- Operate within established programme and project management frameworks, governance, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain clear interfaces with Asset Management, Design & Consenting, and Operations to ensure assets are handed over in a controlled and operationally ready state.
- Provide timely, accurate reporting on progress, risk, cost, and forecast outcomes to the Programme & Reporting team.
Ō pūkenga | What you'll bring - Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management, project management, or equivalent experience in infrastructure project delivery.
- Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects end-to-end, including contractor and consultant management.
- Working knowledge of contract administration frameworks (e.g., NZS suite of contracts or equivalent).
- Ability to operate within governance, reporting, and assurance frameworks, maintaining accurate cost, schedule, and risk controls.
- Desirable: Formal project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
