Centre Director – Numurkah, VIC

We are currently recruiting a Centre Director to lead a respected early learning service located in Numurkah, Victoria.

There is a clear focus on supporting leaders at all levels, with structured guidance provided by the Area Manager and broader leadership team.

The Role

As Centre Director, you will take responsibility for the overall leadership and day-to-day operation of the service. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will guide culture, quality, and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

Team Leadership & Culture
Lead, support, and develop a long-standing team of educators. Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative culture that values consistency, accountability, and professional growth.
Operational Leadership
Oversee daily service operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while maintaining smooth and efficient systems across staffing, enrolments, and administration.
Educational Leadership
Support high-quality educational programs and strengthen pedagogical practice across the service, ensuring children’s learning experiences remain engaging, meaningful, and consistent.
Family & Community Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with families and the local community, continuing the service’s strong reputation and trusted presence within Numurkah.

You will be supported by an experienced Area Manager and broader organisational leadership team, ensuring you are never leading in isolation.

About You

We are open to both experienced and emerging Centre Directors who bring the right values, attitude, and leadership potential.

You will ideally demonstrate:
• 6–12 months+ experience in a leadership role within early childhood education
• Strong understanding of compliance, daily operations, and team leadership
• A calm, organised, and relationship-focused leadership style
• Passion for early childhood education and community engagement
• Willingness to grow and develop within a supportive leadership structure
• Commitment to building strong team culture and quality outcomes
