Account Manager / Customer Support Lead

About the Role

This is not a traditional sales role. Our client’s customers don’t like to be “sold to,” but they do want a partner who understands their business, checks in regularly, and ensures they always have what they need. Your job is to build relationships, manage key accounts, and create a seamless customer experience that keeps clients coming back.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Building genuine relationships with customers through phone, email, and in-person visits.
• Conducting at least 20 check-in calls per week to maintain strong relationships.
• Understanding each customer’s business—who does what, what they need, and when they need it.
• Managing workflows and using CRM systems to drive follow-ups and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
• Spotting opportunities (without hard selling!)—use your knowledge of their business to preempt potential needs.
• Troubleshooting issues immediately and ensuring systems are put into place to make sure mistakes don’t happen again.
• Collaborating with the CEO to drive business improvements and customer satisfaction.
• Managing offshore business interactions as the company grows internationally.
• Keeping an eye on operations—if production is getting busy, checking in with customers to manage expectations.

Who You Are:

• A customer-focused problem solver who genuinely cares about delivering solutions.
• An experienced account manager or internal sales/customer experience manager who thrives on getting things done.
• Comfortable working with CRM systems and using them to drive action.
• Able to create strong relationships over email and phone, not just in person.
• Highly organised, with a knack for managing multiple priorities.
• Operationally minded—you understand how things work and what needs to happen next.
• Open to technology and AI—not essential but a willingness to embrace it is a plus.
• Someone who sees the bigger picture—ready to take ownership and grow within the company.
