Operating a fleet of 7 trucks, 1,200 portaloos, and servicing sites from Northland to Northern Waikato year-round, our client plays a pivotal role in keeping build sites and large-scale events running smoothly. From day-to-day site servicing to major summer events across the North Island, they pride themselves on reliability and excellence.
 
In this position, you'll play a critical role in keeping the company's fleet of equipment and portaloos in top condition.  The role is largely self-managed and perfect for someone who thrives on variety and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating the drivers and ensuring they aware of their schedules
• Overseeing and maintaining trucks, including COFs, tyres, oils, and fluids, and arranging servicing
• Diagnosing and repairing issues with truck components, such as electric water pumps, switches, and pressure systems
• Being the primary contact for drivers during the day for mechanical issues and ensuring solutions are implemented swiftly
• Keeping the yard clean and tidy
• Repairing and maintaining the portaloo fleet
• Conducting Health & Safety audits and running toolbox talks
• Acting as the first backup driver for trucks, including delivering portaloos to events during the busy summer season

What They’re Looking For:

• Mechanical experience or knowledge (you don't have to be trade qualified!)
• Practical problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and fix issues quickly
• A self-motivated, reliable, and organised individual
• Full Class 1 driver’s license (Class 2 a bonus)
