A warm Upper East Side family is seeking an exceptional full-time nanny to care for their two daughters, ages 5 and 3. They are looking for a proactive, experienced professional who is passionate about child development and creating engaging, meaningful daily experiences.
This is a long-term role for a hands-on nanny who enjoys imaginative play, educational activities, and helping children build confidence, independence, and strong social-emotional skills.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Guaranteed 50–55 hours per week

Compensation

• $35–$40 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care for two young children
• Plan age-appropriate activities that support learning, creativity, and development
• Lead imaginative play (dress-up, music, dance, arts & crafts, games)
• Support confidence, independence, and social-emotional growth
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children
• Drive children to and from school, activities, and appointments as needed
• Handle children’s laundry and spot-treat clothing as needed
• Keep children’s areas tidy and assist with light child-related housekeeping
• Act as a trusted partner to mom by staying organized, proactive, and anticipating needs
• Remain fully engaged and present throughout the day

Ideal Candidate

• Extensive experience caring for multiple young children in private homes
• Strong understanding of early childhood development
• Confident leading structured, engaging activities and play
• Warm, energetic, and playful while maintaining consistency and boundaries
• Proactive, organized, and able to take initiative independently
• Excellent communication and collaborative mindset
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Comfortable working alongside parents and household staff
• A background in musical theater, dance, gymnastics, or a related performing arts discipline is a huge plus and highly valued

Additional Details

• Family spends July and August in the Hamptons; nanny will work there during this time
• No additional travel required
• Weekends are generally off, maintaining a consistent weekday schedule
