Your New Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk to join our Finance team.

Reporting to the CEO, this is a hands-on accounts role working alongside the Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The role has a particular focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations and job-related financial transactions.

• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and within required timeframes.
• Reviewing and matching supplier invoices against shipments, job files, purchase costs and agreed rates.
• Preparing and issuing customer invoices for freight, customs, transport and other associated logistics charges.
• Reviewing job financials and assisting with the identification and resolution of costing or billing discrepancies.
• Reconciling bank accounts, supplier statements, customer accounts and relevant control accounts.
• Investigating and following up outstanding or unreconciled transactions.
• Assisting with accounts receivable follow-up and debt collection while maintaining professional customer relationships.
• Supporting payroll processing and responding to routine payroll-related queries as required.

What you will need to succeed:

• Previous experience within international freight forwarding, logistics or a closely related industry.
• Approximately 1–3 years’ experience in an accounts, finance or bookkeeping position.
• Experience using CargoWise.
• Previous exposure to payroll processing.
• Experience with multi-currency transactions and international supplier payments.
• Certificate, Diploma or other relevant qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business or a related discipline.
• Sound understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with both finance and operational teams.
