Contract Manager - Yarraville, Victoria| Immediate Start | Up to $100,000 + Super

This is a chance to join a trusted national name in transport and logistics, known for doing things properly, with safety, compliance, and consistency at the core. They’re now looking for a Contract Manager to lead from the front, take ownership of key outcomes, and help drive stronger commercial results.
 
THE ROLE - Contract Manager
As Contract Manager, you’ll lead daily operations, ensure safety and compliance, manage site risks, and support your team and drivers. You’ll also be responsible for controlling costs and meeting key financial targets.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Manager will be based on site with company staff
• Internal staff complete load planning and delivery schedule. 
• Organise trucks to deliver per company plan. 
• Fleet will be a mix of rigids and custom built 16 pallet trailers. 
• Manager will be responsible for on site tug operator and strapper
• Manager will be responsible for recruiting and managing subcontractor network - predominately prime movers. 
• Site is extremely focused on safety with strong focus on load restraint
• Deliveries are all fork unload into trade centres, hardware stores etc, some with very tight access

Shifts Available

• Monday to Friday | 7:00am - 4:00pm 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL NEED

• Excellent business acumen with the ability to solve operational issues
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Financial & Statistical analysis creation and interpretation
• Devise and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Advance Computer skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to de-escalate situations and lead the team by example,
• Resilience and hold hard conversations, make tough decisions impassively but compassionately,
• Face challenges and continue through to resolution
• Strong orientation to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to work as a part of a team in a dynamic company
