Your New Role - Business Development Manager
We are actively seeking a full-time, dedicated, energetic, and experienced Business Development Manager to join the team.
- Assess the external environment for the trade lane market (competition, economic & industry trends, technology and innovation trends, survey market developments and determine customer needs in alignment with regions) and define competitive position (assess competitors’ products and growth potential)
- Align with product and procurement in order to match product and trade lane demands
- Develop standard operating procedures and implement new trade lane(s)
- Develop and run advertising and promotion campaigns in cooperation with local marketing/corporate communications
- Plan and carry out direct sales activities to attain new accounts in accordance with agreed sales and business plans
- Develop new and prospective customers while maintaining existing accounts
- Assist in preparation and negotiation of bids, RFQ’s and quotations with customers, suppliers and overseas agents
What you will need to succeed:I would love to speak to individuals who bring experience from the Freight Forwarding sector. The ideal candidates should demonstrate the following qualifications:
- Extensive sales experience within freight forwarding
- Proven track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Strong commercial and business acumen with effective influencing and negotiation skills to achieve targets
- Highly engaging and innovative with the ability to find solutions for the customer
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact and build effective relationship with people from multi-national and diverse backgrounds
- Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organisation and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
