Gatehouse Coordinator - Casual | Lidcombe NSW Multiple Shifts Available | Casual to Permanent Pathway
Our client is a major logistics operation based in Lidcombe, NSW, requiring 24/7 gatehouse coverage at their busy distribution site. We're building a casual pool of Gatehouse Coordinators to cover rotating AM and PM shifts across the week.
About the Role
As Gatehouse Coordinator, you are the first point of contact for all inbound vehicle arrivals. You'll manage site access, verify bookings, coordinate vehicle flow, and liaise with transport and operations teams to keep the site running safely and efficiently.
This is a casual role with a clear pathway to permanent for the right people.
Available Shifts & Pay Rates
We are recruiting for the following shifts — candidates may apply for one or more:
- Mon-Thu AM | 4:45am - 4:45pm | $33.80/hr
- Mon-Thu PM | 4:45pm - 4:45am | $39.71-$43.39/hr (afternoon/night rates apply)
- Fri-Sun AM | 4:45am - 4:45pm | $47.31/hr (Sat) / $60.84/hr (Sun)
- Fri-Sun PM | 4:45pm - 4:45am | Night & weekend rates apply — up to $60.84/hr
Early morning hours (12:01am-5:00am) attract $41.91/hr. Public holiday rate $74.36/hr. Key Responsibilities - Manage all inbound vehicle arrivals and verify booking compliance before granting site access
- Confirm driver and carrier details against booking requirements
- Direct vehicles to correct loading, unloading or staging areas
- Monitor vehicle flow and proactively manage congestion
- Liaise with allocators, transport operations and site personnel regarding scheduled arrivals
- Maintain gatehouse logs, arrival records and operational reports
- Ensure all personnel comply with the Site Traffic Management Plan
- Escalate safety incidents, breaches or non-compliant arrivals promptly
About You - Experience in transport, logistics, gatehouse, warehousing or operational coordination
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- Confident working independently across a 12-hour shift, including overnight
- Solid attention to detail and ability to follow process under pressure
- Intermediate computer skills including email and operational systems
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations desirable
- Experience with Traffic Management Plans or a Transport Management System (TMS) desirable
