Transport Allocators & Supervisor — Brisbane FMCG Freight | $80,000–$90,000 + Super | Full Time – Onsite

People Group has four vacancies available immediately across a range of well-established transport and logistics clients in Brisbane.
All roles sit within high-volume FMCG palletised freight operations servicing major retail chains.

The Roles

Fleet Allocator — South-West Brisbane | $80,000 + Super
Coordinate daily fleet movements, manage driver schedules, and ensure on-time delivery across a high-frequency palletised freight operation servicing a major grocery retail account. You'll work closely with drivers and the wider operations team to keep freight moving and clients informed.

AM Allocator — East Brisbane | $80,000 + Super
An early-start role within a fast-paced FMCG distribution operation. Each morning, you'll allocate drivers and vehicles for the day's runs, resolve any pre-departure issues, and ensure the AM freight task is dispatched on time.
AM Shift: 4:00 AM start (Monday–Friday)

PM Allocator — East Brisbane | $80,000 + Super
Taking over from the AM shift, you'll manage the afternoon and evening freight task — monitoring in-progress runs, handling exceptions, coordinating with drivers in the field, and closing out the day cleanly.
PM Shift: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Monday–Friday)

Transport Supervisor — South-West Brisbane | $90,000 + Super
A hands-on leadership role overseeing a team of allocators at a busy South-West Brisbane depot. You'll work alongside your team on daily allocation duties while providing guidance, resolving escalations, and acting as the key point of contact between operations and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute daily load and route plans
• Direct and monitor drivers and independent contractors to ensure schedules and compliance are met
• Maintain accurate and timely data entry of live freight movements
• Troubleshoot and resolve delays or delivery issues in real time
• Monitor daily utilisation, cost estimates, and service completion metrics
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and contractors to ensure seamless operations
• Support driver compliance in line with fatigue and safety obligations
• Be available after hours for unresolved routes when required
• Supervisor: provide team leadership, manage escalations, and liaise between operations and management

What You'll Need

• 2+ years' experience in a similar allocator or transport coordination role
• Strong knowledge of QLD geography and freight scheduling
• Background in 3PL, transport, logistics, or FMCG environments with exposure to palletised freight is highly regarded
• Competent with Excel and data entry across multiple systems
• Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, and prioritise
• Understanding of Chain of Responsibility and Fatigue Management (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication skills for contractor and stakeholder liaison
• Supervisor applicants: previous experience leading or mentoring a small transport team is advantageous
