About the Role- Air Export Operator
As an Air Export Operator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of airfreight operations, with a primary focus on exports. You will ensure compliance with ABF, DAFF, and Aviation Security standards, including handling Dangerous Goods and Perishables. Additionally, you will support airfreight pricing and quoting, providing timely and competitive services.
- Manage airfreight operations, overseeing import/export processes and operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and external regulations (ABF, DAFF, Aviation Security).
- Assist with airfreight pricing and quoting, delivering timely, competitive quotes.
- Maintain communication with clients, agents, and suppliers throughout the service and quoting process.
- Support financial aspects of operations, including invoicing, job costing, and meeting deadlines for WIPs and accruals.
- Collaborate with senior management on operational improvements and system developments (PAVE).
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the airfreight department and foster a positive work environment.
The successful applicant should demonstrate; - Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role or specific role
- Air Export Operator experience
- Understanding of Australian Customs & quarantine rules & regulations.
- Understanding of Australian RMS rules in respect to road height & weight limitations.
- Intermediate Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Intermediate Cargowise experience.
- Possess a positive attitude with a strong customer focus.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills and reliability.
- Self-motivated & results orientated.
