Your New Role- Customs Broker This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Customs Broker with extensive knowledge in customs brokering to step into a leadership role within a rapidly expanding business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitate on time customs and quarantine clearance / release of consignments
Apply understanding of trade requirements, procedures and Australian Customs & tariff regulations and Australian Biosecurity requirements
Assist clients and maintain high quality customer service
Liaise with external departments
General administration including but not limited to invoicing and reporting using CargoWise One
To work to achieve KPIs required for each client at all times by ensuring the successful processing of their import clearances
Perform other duties as specified by manager when required
Developing strong working relationships with both internal and external clients
What you'll need to succeed:
Customs Brokers experience
Hold and maintain current Customs Broker Licence and AWE Broker Accreditation
At least 12 months experience in customs brokering or 2+ years as customs compiler
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Knowledge or familiarity with CargoWise One preferred
A high degree of numeracy, literacy, and analytical skills
Commercial focus and excellent customer service skills
Adaptable, ethical, and hands-on approach
Ability to effectively interact and network with internal/external stakeholders to facilitate professional movement of all shipments
First-class communication skills - written and verbal
Ability to prioritize and time-manage
Attention to detail
