About Your New Role - Senior Accountant
Our client, a renowned chartered accounting firm, is on the lookout for a skilled Senior Accountant to join their talented team. This exciting role offers the chance to step into a strategic position, refine your leadership skills, and shape your path toward a future in management

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• End to end Accounts payable and receivable management, including invoice processing, daily/weekly & monthly payments, and debtor follow-up.
• Processing international and overseas payments across multiple currencies
• Credit card reconciliations and expense management.
• Cash flow analysis, monitoring and forecasting to support business planning
• Multiple currency Bank account reconciliations.
• Month-end reporting, including P&L and variance analysis.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining pre-payment register.
• Preparation and lodgement of BAS/GST returns.
• Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Payroll oversight and ensuring compliance with superannuation and leave entitlements
• Maintaining and improving internal financial controls and processes.
• Assisting in the implementation and use of Cargowise financial modules
• Liaising with external accountants as required.
• Providing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to management to support strategic decisions

What you will need to succeed

• Solid experience in accounting or financial control (ideally within freight forwarding)
• Knowledge of BAS and tax compliance requirements
• Senior Accountant experience
• Strong reconciliation and reporting skills
• Experience managing international payments and multi-currency transactions
• Proficiency with Cargowise
