Transport Allocator - Sydney
 
Will be responsible for coordinating FCL & LCL movements of import and export containers & consignments. Great position with training and support provided to an individual interested in getting into this type of role.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate FCL movements of import and export containers.
• Allocate trucks and liaise with drivers.
• Ensure container slot bookings are checked and correct (relevant to wharf/container parks).
• Apply container numbers to slot bookings.
• De-hiring of containers.
• Timely and accurate updating of our transport management system.
• Optimise fleet operations.
• Admin tasks including approval of driver run sheets, monitoring tolls, waiting time and fuel expense.
• Other duties as when required.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A team player.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Have a high level of attention to detail.
• Knowledgeable and experienced with Microsoft Excel and Outlook with an ability to learn and understand new programs.
• Experience with 1-stop and container chain.
• Willing to learn and be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment
• Preferable to have some form of transport planning/allocation experience.

Basic Job Requirements:

• Accurate and timely data entry skills. Excellent communication, attention to detail, time management and customer service skills; Organised, self-motivated and problem solver;
• Ability to work within a team environment and autonomously.
• In fulfilling this position you can expect to work an 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday primarily onsite.
• $120,000 + Super
