Autonomy & Asset Management Group is an Australian based business supporting the mining & resource industry. We provide a range of services that include Automation and Technology, Asset Management and Skilled Trades to support large-scale projects, working on a range of the latest OEM equipment. 

As the Area Manager, you will identify new business opportunities and drive business within the region, applying the solutions methodology across customers’ diverse projects and requirements. Customer interaction is essential, involving influencing and negotiation and implementing specific tailored solutions.
  
Working across our people business, with the help of the recruitment team, grow blue and white collar contractor numbers, drive permanent recruitment and project solutions. Work with our Technology team to provide initiative solutions to our client base and drive leads to the business.

Responsibilities

• Regular visits to sites across the region to meet with key clients, prospects and field staff to meet and exceed targets.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the industry to identify and develop a pipeline of potential customers aligned with strategic and operational priorities.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with existing customers and those on the pipeline to exceed sales targets.
• Use appropriate systems and tools to deliver all required reports.
• Monitor potential losses, new tenders, and changes to key personnel in customer organisations, to take appropriate action including advising relevant managers.
• Manage the transition of a customer from solution proposition to operational execution by consulting with and maintaining strong relations.
• Develop and manage a business sales strategy.
• Perform and update marketing to support sales

  
Required skills and qualifications

• Experience in new business development in a highly competitive sector
• Proven ability to develop effective relationships across multiple levels of customer organisations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail.
• Relevant industry knowledge and/or experience
