Experienced Diesel Fitters – Adhoc Maintenance | Bowen Basin AAMG is currently seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our Adhoc Maintenance team, supporting multiple mining sites across the Bowen Basin.
Looking for flexibility that works around your needs? Our Adhoc Maintenance team provides opportunities to work across a variety of Bowen Basin sites, with the flexibility to suit your availability and preferences.
You’ll work on a range of surface mobile mining equipment, including CAT, Komatsu, Liebherr, Hitachi and ancillary equipment, performing preventative maintenance, servicing, repairs, rebuilds and breakdown support.
With a different site each swing, no two days are the same.
About the Role As an Adhoc Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for:
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment faults
- Routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Field and workshop-based maintenance
- Rebuilds, scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Supporting safe and efficient equipment operation
- Participating in toolbox and safety meetings
- Completing hazard identification, risk assessments and JSAs
- Working safely and productively across various mining environments
What We're Looking For - Australian-recognised Diesel Fitter trade qualification
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11
- Previous mining industry experience
- Experience with CAT, Komatsu, Liebherr or Hitachi equipment highly regarded
- Additional RII tickets such as Working at Heights, EWP, Dogging, Confined Space and Forklift highly regarded
- Strong safety focus and a commitment to safe, productive work practices
- Ability to adapt quickly to different sites, equipment and work environments
